Initial Setup

Follow three steps to get your LaTeX environment running and complete your first successful build.

Installation

Step 1

Install MiKTeX and verify the base LaTeX toolchain is working.

Step 2

Install VS Code and add the LaTeX Workshop extension.

Optional

Add extra useful VS Code extensions.

Step 3

Download a starter project, build it once, and confirm the environment is ready.

Once the first build succeeds, move into the daily editing workflow in VS Code.
